Materials Needed

Instructions

- Cutting: Trace or pin the doll shirt pattern in place, and carefully cut out all the pieces. A 1/4″ seam allowance is already included in the pattern, so cut fabric to the exact size of the pattern.
- Sewing: Arrange the front piece and 2 back pieces with the front side of the fabric facing inwards, lining up the shoulder seams. Sew across both shoulder seams.
- Attaching the Sleeves: Lay out the front and back shirt pieces so the shoulder seams are laying flat. Find the midpoint of the sleeve, and line up with the shoulder seam. Pin in place, then sew around to attach the sleeve.
- Sewing the Sides: Once the sleeve is in place, place the front and back together with right sides together, and sew along the sides of the shirt and the bottom of the sleeve.
- Adding Velcro: Sew velcro along the two back pieces.
- Hemming: Fold the bottom edge of the shirt and the sleeve edges under, and sew around to create a hem.
- Neckline: Fold down the top edge of the shirt, creating a small hem, and sew along the curve. Leave a small gap to insert elastic or ribbon that would form the neckline.
