Materials
- Worsted weight yarn
- Crochet hook size G (4.0 mm)
- Darning needle
Gauge
- 4 rows of 15 single crochets = 2 inches
Instructions
Note: This pattern is worked in the round, starting at the top of the sock and working downwards.
Round 1: Ch 16, join with a slip stitch to form a ring. Ch 1, sc in each chain around. Join with a slip stitch to the first sc. (16 sts)
Round 2: Ch 1, sc in the first stitch, sc in the next 7 stitches, 2 sc in the next stitch, sc in the next 7 stitches, 2 sc in the last stitch. Join with a slip stitch to the first sc. (18 sts)
Round 3: Ch 1, sc in the first stitch, sc in the next 8 stitches, 2 sc in the next stitch, sc in the next 8 stitches, 2 sc in the last stitch. Join with a slip stitch to the first sc. (20 sts)
Round 4: Ch 1, sc in the first stitch, sc in the next 9 stitches, 2 sc in the next stitch, sc in the next 9 stitches, 2 sc in the last stitch. Join with a slip stitch to the first sc. (22 sts)
Round 5: Ch 1, sc in the first stitch, sc in the next 10 stitches, 2 sc in the next stitch, sc in the next 10 stitches, 2 sc in the last stitch. Join with a slip stitch to the first sc. (24 sts)
Round 6 – 23: Ch 1, sc in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch to the first sc. (24 sts)
Note: The length of the sock can be adjusted by adding or subtracting rounds as necessary.
Fasten off and weave in any loose ends with the darning needle.
Repeat the above steps to make the second sock.
